Bogor, Indonesia – November 16, 2024. Indri Guslina, SE., MM., Rita Mardiana, Retno Pratiwi, Ahmad Juhari, Giharjo a lecturer from Kampus Budi Bakti, participated as a speaker in an international seminar to present her research titled “Analysis of Factors Influencing Students’ Decisions to Become Entrepreneurs Reviewed from Motivation, Perception, and Social Environment (Case Study on STIM Budi Bakti Students)”. The event 4th International Conference on Research and Development (ICORAD) 2024was held in Bogor, providing an academic platform for scholars and practitioners to discuss entrepreneurship-related topics.
The research, conducted in collaboration with Rita Mardiana, B. Retno Pratiwi S., Ahmad Juhari, and Giharjo, explores key factors that drive students’ entrepreneurial decisions. The study specifically examines motivational elements, perception influences, and the impact of social environments on entrepreneurial intentions, with a focus on students at STIM Budi Bakti.
Indri Guslina highlighted the importance of understanding these factors to foster a supportive ecosystem for aspiring entrepreneurs among students. She emphasized,
“Entrepreneurship is not only about skills but also shaped by motivation, societal perception, and social networks. Our research aims to provide actionable insights for institutions and policymakers to nurture entrepreneurship in educational settings.”
Kampus Budi Bakti, serves as a step toward enriching the entrepreneurial spirit among young Indonesians while addressing practical challenges faced by student entrepreneurs.
